Standard pre-filters will filter +/- 10,000 litres of water before needing to be changed [based on total flow of pure + waste water] whereas the high flow combination of pre-filters will allow +/- 35,000 litres to be filtered before the pre-filters need to be changed.

We supply these systems with a manual first flush valve (see image 13) so you can direct the first bit of water produced out the waste line then through the RO to which allows resin to last longer. This flush valve can also be set to increase your operating waste ratio which is required in some areas where the TDS of the local water is high.

*Our 66 LPH / 1,520 LPD / 400 GPD RO unit is supplied as standard with two RO membranes connected in parallel to maximise flow rate. If water purity is your priority, we can configure the unit so that the output (PRODUCE) of the first RO membrane feeds into the inlet of the second. This setup significantly improves the purity of the RO water and extends the life of your DI resin—particularly beneficial in areas with high TDS levels, such as Western Australia or other regions reliant on groundwater sources. Alternatively, if you’re in a region where water is scarce and the TDS is relatively low, we can configure the unit so that the waste from the first RO membrane feeds into the inlet of the second. This will slightly reduce purity but substantially lower the wastewater ratio. Please advise us at the time of ordering if you would
