20"x4.5" HIGH VOLUME PASSIVE COMMERCIAL REVERSE OSMOSIS WATER PURIFIER

High Volume Passive Commercial Reverse Osmosis System

Watermark certification is not required for industrial reverse osmosis (RO) systems, unless the unit is intended for use in a domestic household connected to mains water supply. In such cases, Watermark-certified housings may be necessary to comply with Australian plumbing regulations. We offer Watermark-certified housings for an additional $100, which must be requested at the time of ordering. Please note: if certification is requested after dispatch, the cost to modify and return the unit can exceed $500, due to shipping, rework, and replacement components. To avoid delays and additional charges, ensure you advise us upfront if Watermark certification is required for your installation.

Our range of passive RO units for commercial applications are designed to operate optimally at town water pressure [optimal range is 550kpa to 680 kpa]. These systems don't require power as they have no pumps or electronic controls. This RO unit is assembled and tested in our Queensland factory before shipping to ensure proper operation.

The reverse osmosis process results in the total dissolved solids (TDS) count dropping by between 90% to 95% depending on your local environmental factors, system design and waste ratio. This purification process is commonly considered to be the most effective method of purification available, and will consistently produce water with the lowest level of contaminant. Where water of a higher standard (99-100% contaminant reduction) is required, mixed resin post filters may be fitted on request for an extra charge.

This system will produce up to 3,800 litres per 24 hours depending on your selection in the drop down menus given the required feed water pressure. *Note: Your local water pressure and quality of the feed water can cause this estimate to vary significantly as the recommended waste ratio will be higher if you are filtering water with a TDS reading above 500ppm.

This unit is tested on a town water supply, if you plan to use this unit on any other kind of supply (bore, creek, tank etc.) we strongly recommend performing basic water tests (TDS, Salinity, Hardness/Calcium and Iron) to determine whether the water is within the systems operating parameters. If you are unsure as to whether this unit suits your needs, feel free to send us a message with any details you have on your water.

With passive systems—those without an integrated pressure pump—water pressure plays a critical role. If the pressure falls below the optimal range of 80 to 100 psi, the system will produce significantly less than the membrane’s rated output. Additionally, both water temperature and TDS levels influence flow rate. Cooler water reduces membrane production, while warmer temperatures increase output but may also affect purity levels.

Our systems are effective in removing / reducing various contaminants from your drinking water, including fluoride, chlorine, cysts, bacteria and heavy metals among many other contaminants as indicated in the table below.

*Where the feed water TDS reading is high, the minimum operating pressure of the unit may be affected. If your feed water TDS is in excess of 500ppm we recommend that you consult us before you purchase. Generally, these systems are suited to most town mains water supplies, however if you are intending to use the unit on tank or bore water we recommend testing the feed pressure and water quality first.

This system can be optioned with either a marine grade stainless steel bracket and screws which won't rust or a painted mild steel bracket for indoor use [white painted bracket per 2nd listing image], standard and high volume carbon pre-filters and membrane flow rate. The 20 inch filters are capable of filtering roughly twice as much water between filter changes and the 20"x4.5" pre-filters are recommended for the higher volume units.

 SYSTEM INCLUDES:

- 1x twin wall mount bracket per selection menus.
- 2x big blue pre-filter housings with 1"BSP ports.
- 1x 1 micron poly spun sediment disposable filter.
- 1x standard** / higher*** volume carbon block filter.
- 1x 500GPD* or 2x 500GPD* membranes per selection.
- Appropriate ring spanner to loosen pre-filter housings.
- Installation kit including a roll of tubing and tap adapters.

* GPD = Gallons per 24 hours x 3.8 litres for litre per 24 hours.
* 500GPD + 1000GPD units use Global Aqua RO membrane.
** standard 20"x4.5" filters remove chlorine for +/- 70,000 litres
*** higher volume carbon  filter will remove around 3x more
chlorine than standard volume ones and chlorine needs to be
removed by the pre-filters as it damages the membrane

This RO unit carries a full 36 month warranty on all parts supplied in the original order, this is subject to our standard terms and conditions listed in our operating manual

Why Choose the 20"x4.5" High Volume Passive Commercial Reverse Osmosis Water Purifier?

This High Volume Passive Commercial Reverse Osmosis System is a robust and efficient water purification solution designed for commercial applications. It is a pumpless system that operates on town water pressure, with an optimal range of 550kpa to 680 kpa, meaning no electricity is required. The system is assembled and tested in Australia to ensure proper operation and can be customized with various options for brackets, filters, and membrane flow rates.

Compact Design and Powerful Performance

This system is built with two big blue pre-filter housings and includes a 1-micron spun sediment filter and a carbon block filter to remove chlorine, which is essential to protect the membranes. It comes with your choice of high-volume membranes, ranging from 500GPD to 1,000GPD, capable of producing up to 3,800 litres per day under optimal conditions. The RO process reduces the total dissolved solids (TDS) count by 90% to 95%, consistently producing water with a very low contaminant level.

Seamless Integration and Easy Maintenance

This RO unit is designed for simple installation and operation, with an included ring spanner and installation kit. It can be optioned with either a marine-grade stainless steel bracket for rust prevention or a painted mild steel bracket for indoor use. The product notes that if used in a domestic household connected to a mains water supply, you may require Watermark certification, which can be added for an extra charge. The unit carries a 36-month warranty.
