1uM, 5uM, 10uM and 20uM carbon filters remove / reduce chlorine, odour, taste, volatile organic compounds, pesticides, herbicides, insecticides and a wide range of chemicals and other impurities that may be in your water
0.5uM carbon block filters remove above impurities as well as parasitic micro-organisms and cysts [giardia, cryptosporidium and blastocysts]
Carbon block filters on their own will not remove bacteria and to do so you'll need to use a silver infused or nano silver carbon block filter
