No plumbing required as connects to most sink mixer taps by removing aerator and connecting diverter tap supplied with item

* Standard mixer taps refer to a mixer tap where you can unscrew the aerator on the end of the tap and will be left with either a 20mm female thread or a 23mm male thread. If you have the 20mm female thread you`ll need to use the inside to outside thread converter [supplied with the diverter valve] to connect but if you have a 23mm male thread after removing the aerator you won`t need to use the thread converter

5 micron carbon blocks will remove / reduce sediment [rust, dust, particles, clay + debris], chlorine, volatile organic compounds, herbicides, insecticides, a wide range of chemicals and improves taste and odour

Any 0.5 micron carbon block or ceramic filter combination selected will remove / reduce the above as well as cryptosporidium, giardia, blastocysts, cysts and parasitic micro-organisms

Silver infused carbon blocks are bacteria static and can be used to reduce bacteria growth in the filters. 

If you select the hollow fibre filter, we do not recommend using the 5uM spun sediment filter as the micron rating is not low enough to efficiently protect the 0.01uM hollow fibre filter and could block it.

This unit has a 36 month warranty which is subject to our warranty terms and conditions, regular filter changes to be done as recommended using our replacement filters, media and consumables and is installed inside and not in direct sunlight

Ceramic filters are very fine and and can clog quickly if your tank water has high turbidity. Some of our sediment filters are zinc infused for additional anti-bacterial protection.

The system allows for customization of the two filters to address specific water quality concerns. $5\text{micron}$ carbon blocks are effective for the primary reduction of sediment (rust, dust, particles, clay, debris), chlorine, volatile organic compounds (VOCs), herbicides, insecticides, and a wide range of chemicals, while also improving taste and odour. More advanced combinations, such as a $0.5\text{micron}$ carbon block or ceramic filter, will additionally remove or reduce cysts and parasitic micro-organisms, including cryptosporidium, giardia, and blastocysts. Silver infused carbon blocks are available for their bacteriostatic properties, which help reduce bacteria growth within the filters, and some sediment filters may also be zinc-infused for additional anti-bacterial protection. An important filter note is that if the fine $0.01\text{uM}$ hollow fibre filter is selected, the vendor advises against using the $5\text{uM}$ spun sediment filter, as its micron rating is not low enough to protect the hollow fibre filter efficiently from clogging; ceramic filters are also very fine and may clog quickly if the tank water has high turbidity.

No permanent plumbing is required, as the unit connects to most standard mixer taps by simply removing the aerator and attaching the supplied diverter tap. The diverter tap includes an inside-to-outside thread converter to accommodate common $20\text{mm}$ female or $23\text{mm}$ male threads found on mixer taps. The entire unit is backed by a 36-month warranty, which is conditional on regular filter changes using recommended replacements and installation indoors, away from direct sunlight.
