Reverse osmosis removes essential minerals, and this filter’s purpose is to add those minerals back. It doesn’t improve taste or remove chlorine or chemicals on its own, so it shouldn’t be used by itself. It needs to be part of a full system with carbon filtration, and most commonly it’s installed after an RO membrane and before the final carbon filter.

As mentioned earlier this item needs ¼”npt threaded to ¼” tube [outside diameter is +/- 6mm] quick-fit connectors. You’ll need to apply 6-10 laps of plumbing tape on the threaded side of the fittings before use. Most people have a roll of plumbers tape on hand but if you don’t, we sell a 15 metre roll separately here and if you buy it at the same time as this item we will send them together.
