Caravan RV Mobile Home Water Filters - Twin Motorhome Portable Caravan and Camping Filter Unit

This twin stage caravan water filter system includes two filter housings, a stainless steel bracket, two standard clip on garden hose connectors, the filter combination selected and a housing opening spanner for your filter changes. 

This filter unit is supplied with a mounting bracket, however it does not need to be mounted for use. You can connect this unit inline on your garden hose when filling your tanks or when connected to a water supply whilst camping. 

This caravan filtration system can remove sediment (dirt, dust rust etc), chlorine, many volatile organic compounds, pesticides, herbicides, chemicals and improves taste, odour and colouration depending on the filter combination selected.

To remove parasitic micro-organisms and filterable cysts such as cryptosporidium, giardia, blastocysts, etc, the carbon filter you select should be a 0.5uM filter or the sediment filter you select should be the 0.5uM fine ceramic [choosing the 0.5uM fine ceramic and a 0.5uM carbon filters offers an extra protection point in case one fails].

Chemical / chlorine removal: The standard coconut carbon block cartridges [CBC] will filter approximately 10,000 litres of town water before needing to be replaced. The Silver Carbon, Heavy Metals CBC and Fluoride* Carbon filters will filter about 20,000 litres. The Pentek CBC-10 and Matrikx PB1 metals and chloramine filters will filter about 30,000 litres and the Pentek CBR2-10 filters are a high volume chlorine removal filter and will effectively filter approximately 75,000 litres.

Zinc and silver infused filters have anti-bacterial properties and will slow down any bacteria colonisation of the filter and reduce the bacteria load of the filtered water.

*Reduces fluoride by an average of approximately 50%-60% over the useful life of the filter given a flow rate of below 1 litre per minute - for higher fluoride removal of between 97%-99% rather consider a reverse osmosis water filter

NB: Ceramic filters supplied are ultra fine cyst removing Doulton cancel filters which measure 25cm x 5cm.

THESE FILTERS ACHIEVE STATED EFFECTIVENESS AT FLOW RATES BELOW 4 LITRES PER MINUTE

Recommended usage life for filters without anti bacterial properties is 6 months and silver infused carbon filters is 12 months.
