System Performance & Comparisons

• Option 1: 0.5 Micron Nominal or 1 Micron Absolute Carbon Block (2nd Filter) Reduces/Removes: Cryptosporidium, giardia, blastocysts + reduces chlorine, dirt, sediment, odour, volatile organic compounds, pesticides, herbicides, chemicals, and improves taste.

• Option 2: 5 Micron Nominal Carbon Block (2nd Filter) Reduces/Removes: Chlorine, dirt, sediment, odour, volatile organic compounds, pesticides, herbicides, chemicals, and improves taste.

Note: Only the silver infused carbon block filters have anti bacterial properties in that they inhibit bacteria growth within the carbon and are the SIC options in the drop down selection menu.

• Pressure Release: Depending on stock levels, housings may or may not have a red pressure release button. This function is not necessary for a portable system with garden clips which is not under constant pressure.

• Installation: Simply connect the standard female clip on garden hose fitting to the end of each side of the filter noting the flow direction marked INLET (In) and PRODUCE (Out).

Warranty & Regulatory Compliance

• Warranty: 12-month warranty on all parts. This is subject to systems not being permanently connected, not installed in constant direct sunlight, and filters being changed at least every 12 months using our replacement sets.

• Constant Pressure: Any system under constant pressure must be fitted with an AS3497 approved pressure reducing valve and back-flow prevention device (listed separately in our store). We also recommend a leak detector shut-off device.

• Watermark Certification: Portable, caravan, and aquarium filters generally do not require Watermark certification. It is your responsibility to inquire via our Contact Us page if your specific application requires a Watermarked unit (often required by plumbers for permanent home mains connections).
