Water in WA can be very hard as it is mostly ground / bore water, so do not buy this small unit if you are in WA or you are looking to filter ground water, as the small systems will not work well. If you want to filter very hard water, buy one of our larger units, i.e. the 10"x4.5" or the 20"x4.5" units (sold separately), or do not buy one at all.

Single-Stage Car Wash Deionising System – Light Duty

Please note: This system is designed for light-duty use with low TDS source water (≤100 ppm). For higher-demand applications, such as commercial washing, larger vehicles (trucks, buses), or hard water areas (TDS >100 ppm), we offer heavy-duty systems, i.e. our larger 10"x4.5" and 20"x4.5" units (sold separately).

Water Spot Reduction & Calcium Removal

This unit uses ion exchange resin to reduce water hardness and remove calcium along with other dissolved solids. It helps minimise or eliminate water spots after washing cars or motorbikes.

Suitable Locations

This system performs best in areas with soft to moderately hard water, including:

• Melbourne
• Sydney
• Hobart
• Newcastle
• Sunshine Coast

It is not recommended for use in the following areas, so rather buy one of our larger twin units (sold separately):

• Gold Coast
• Brisbane
• Adelaide
• Perth or regional areas with groundwater sources

Filter Life Expectancy

Filter longevity depends on local water quality. On town water with TDS ≤100 ppm, each 600g resin refill can treat up to +/- 1,000 litres before spots start to appear again. In areas with hard water, resin may deplete faster and require more frequent replacement. For high-volume or high-hardness use, consider our larger systems—we’re happy to help you choose the right one.
