FISH TANK AQUARIUM FILTER
This is our mid-sized marine aquarium reverse osmosis RODI unit, suited to use for topping up marine aquariums. This unit is designed to produce water of the highest purity for your marine fish tank with 0ppm TDS. This unit is best suited to use with small to medium sized tanks and water with average TDS levels, for larger tanks and people with higher TDS reading from their taps like in WA and other regions with water sourced from ground water we recommend our PRO4-DJ series RODI units listed here.
Clear tinted DI filters are suitable for using colour changing DI Resin if you decide to do so in the future [Resin supplied in this order is not colour changing]. The system in the last listing image is of a similar item with clear tinted pre-filters available in our online store but is NOT part of this listing.
This is a four stage unit which includes the following:
- 2x white opaque pre-filter housings
- 1x 10"x2.5" spun sediment filter.
- 1x 10"x2.5" carbon filter selected (catalytic chloramine reduction CBC is a option).
- 1x reverse osmosis membrane (your choice of flow rate)
- 1x inline DI resin filter selected (white or clear tinted)
- 3x meters of high pressure 1/4" (6mm) tubing.
- All inlet connection fittings (sink mixer tap diverter + garden tap connection options)
RO membranes are listed based on flow rate, in this case volume of water produced if left to run for 24 hours with optimal feed pressure (60-80psi). Membrane flow rate should be selected from the table above when purchasing the filter. Only systems with the Matrikx CBC will effectively remove chloramines from water as standard carbon, RO membranes and DI resin do not effectively reduce chloramines.
There are two different connection types included being 'Garden/Laundry' and 'Kitchen Mixer'. The Garden/Laundry option includes a 1/2" tap adapter, 3/4" tap adapter and a garden hose clip. The "Kitchen Mixer Adapter" option includes a valve that connects to a standard mixer tap in place of the aerator [see image 13].
* Standard mixer taps refer to a mixer tap where you can unscrew the aerator on the end of the tap and will be left with either a 20mm female thread or a 23mm male thread. If you have the 20mm female thread you`ll need to use the inside to outside thread converter [supplied with the diverter valve] to connect but if you have a 23mm male thread after removing the aerator you won`t need to use the thread converter

The kit includes all necessary inlet connection fittings and 3x meters of high pressure 1/4" tubing. The system is simple to maintain, with replaceable filters that ensure a continuous supply of ultra-pure water for your aquarium.

I recently purchased a Pro -4-D, RODI water filtration system to produce clean ,non toxic pure freshwater to use on my marine aquarium, when making my salt water solution.
The product works like a charm, easy pipe fitments, quick connect and a fitting to suit many different tapes, but you will need to purchase the kit for a small fee.
The warehouse for this product is situated in Maroochydore, so super speedy service, ordered the Wednesday and received Thursday.
The product like I said is so easy to put together, it comes pretty much pre assembled all you need to do it put your cartridge in, connect to your water outlet and your good to go.
The great advantage is that it can make over 300l of water a day.
So to all you Marine aquarium enthusiasts, look no further and believe me this thing works great and at 1/2 the price of one purchased from any marine aquarium shop.
Hey, this product is also great for those distilling home-brew to add to your sugar and afterwards to bring the alcohol to the correct percentage.
